Nobody seems to know what to do ..
I've called Amazon at least 30x this week, because my supplier told me I am the one that's supposed to make a DELIVERY APPOINTMENT so that my inventory (LTL) can be delivered to the warehouse .
So I call Amazon and they tell me that I can not set up the DELIVERY APPOINTMENT myself it has to be my carrier.
I call my freight forwarder so they can set it up they say that they can not set up the DELIVERY APPOINTMENT because they're not a trucking company ..
My inventory is currently siting at the airport and I have to pay the airport fees, until I solve this issue .
Only thing I can think of is having UPS pick up my inventory from the airport and drop it off at Amazon warehouse .
Please if anyone can help I'd appreciate it .
Call them and act like you're the carrier
If you know the carriers name, mention you're calling from the local terminal and need to set a delivery apt.
Why not use partnership carrier ( UPS ) they have FREIGHT service and you can be sure they know what they are doing
what I do is when my shipment arrive at the airport custom, I use their service to pickup my inventory and ship it to amazon, so I have the best price for the shipping China to Usa, and when in USA i have the best price to send USA-USA ( Amazon partnership carrier )
Shouldn't that be handled by freight forwarder because I somehow got my products to the warehouse without doing that?
unanswered?
its true your freight forwarder should be the one to request an appointment. They should know the site. tsk
Update about my Shipping and Freight Forwarder Mess: it's all set ( finally
UPS picking up at the airport will not fix your problem. We always recommend to our clients to cross-dock. Ship to a warehouse, process it there, and have an Amazon partner pick it up from there and take it straight to Amazon. Straight to Amazon is not very efficient due to the issues you mentioned. I would hire a local freight company to pickup from the airport, drop it to your home or a local warehouse you can setup with. Then label, and have UPS/Amazon LTL carrier pick it up. - From your friends at Movley (Sourcing & Supply-Chain)
